Warnings and precautions: As with all long-acting topical products, seasonal shedding may lead to a transient, minor reduction in efficacy due to loss of active substance bound in the coat. New distribution from the collar occurs immediately so that full effect will be re-established without further treatment or changing of the collar. The collar is water resistant and works even if the animal gets wet. However, the animal should not be exposed to large amounts of water for a long time or frequent washing, as the effect time can thus be reduced. As with other veterinary medicinal products, young children should not play with the collar or put it in their mouths. Pets wearing the collar should not be allowed to sleep with their owners, especially children. Imidacloprid and flumethrin are continuously released from the collar to the skin and fur as long as the collar is worn. The collar may trigger hypersensitivity reactions in certain people. In very rare cases, the collar can cause irritation to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract of certain people. In case of eye irritation, rinse eyes thoroughly with cold water. In case of skin irritation, wash the skin with cold water and soap. If the symptoms persist, it is recommended to see a doctor and show the doctor the package insert or package. Discard any leftover or clipped parts of the collar immediately. Wash your hands with cold water after attaching the collar. In very rare cases, aggression has been reported after wearing the collar. Check that the collar is not too tight. Reactions such as pruritus, erythema and hair loss around the collar may occur. These cases are rare in dogs and uncommon in cats and recovery is usually seen within one to two weeks. In some cases, it may be advisable to temporarily remove the collar until the symptoms have disappeared. In very rare cases, reactions such as dermatitis, inflammation, eczema, skin lesions or bleeding around the collar can occur in dogs and in rare cases in cats. In these cases, it is recommended that the collar be removed. In rare cases, neurological symptoms such as ataxia, convulsions and tremors may occur in dogs.
