Properties and application in use of the product

Aquarium Soil ensures good and active growth right from the start, and it gives an extra boost to the red shades on the plants. It is a complete base layer that can be used without the use of other types of base layers. Aquarium Soil is also an active bottom layer which lowers the pH and slightly affects the chemistry of the water. Therefore, we recommend a minimum of 2 weekly water changes (25-50% of the water) for the first 4 weeks after the aquarium has been started.

How do I calculate how much Soil/Soil Powder I need to use if it is to make up the entire bottom layer?

• Measure the length and width of your aquarium in cm, e.g. 90 x 60 cm.
• Consider how thick a layer of Soil you want, e.g. 8 cm.
  With a sloping bottom layer, which is higher at the back of the aquarium, you achieve a good visual effect.
• The calculation is then, length x width x layer thickness divided by 1000.
  Here: 90 x 60 x 8/1000 = 43.2 L Soil/Soil Powder
