Earth Rated rubbish bags if you want to be environmentally conscious. The core of the rolls is made from recycled cardboard, and the bags themselves contain what is called an "EPI additive", which makes the bags biodegradable. The bags will therefore break down after approx. 12 months. However, this does not mean that filled bags are thrown into the wild - they are still thrown into a waste bin!
