Using a diffuser

Please note! Initially, the diffuser will produce large bubbles around the ring. During the first 24 hours of use, all ceramic pores fill with water and the bubble size decreases to the optimal size.

Please wait a few minutes for sufficient pressure to build up to allow the CO2 to begin passing through; it cannot begin immediately.

We recommend 6 ml to 50 L of water per week, but it is advisable to assess the needs of the plants. In addition to micronutrients, Specialized Nutrition contains all the necessary macronutrients. The fertilizer can be used in situations where the whole plant shows a nutrient deficiency. Note that if there is incipient algae growth, the algae growth can worsen when the fertilizer is added.

Since Specialized Nutrition contains nitrogen and phosphorus, the dosage must be adapted to the plants' uptake so that unwanted algae growth in the water is avoided. If there are signs of algae growth, the dosage is reduced by 50%, and the water is changed more frequently than usual, for example up to 50% per week. The water change is not only for diluting the nutrient content in the water, but also helps to remove algae spores, residues and other accumulated elements from the aquarium water.

Properties and application in use of the product

1. Check that the regulator is completely closed and mount the regulator on the CO2 cylinder.

2. Fill the chamber of the diffuser with water.

3. Place the cartridge in the holder and mount the hose on the regulator and on the diffuser.

4. Mount the diffuser with the suction cups on the inside of the aquarium close to the bottom and so that the hose runs in a corner at the back of the aquarium.

5. Let the diffuser sit for 24 hours in the aquarium, so that the ceramic disc is well moistened before you open the CO2 supply.

6. Slowly open the regulator and count the number of bubbles in the chamber of the diffuser.

7. Wait 2 minutes and fine-tune and repeat until the number of bubbles is approx. equal to the recommendation in the table.
