Long-acting flea and tick collar for dogs and cats. Up to 8 months of protection.

For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis (dog and cat) and C. canis (dog)) in dogs and cats for 7-8 months. Protects in the animal's immediate surroundings against the development of flea larvae for 10 weeks in cats and 8 months in dogs. Seresto Vet. can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea-induced allergic dermatitis.

Seresto Vet. has a persistent acaricidal (killing) effect against ticks (Ixodes ricinus (dog and cat), Rhipicephalus sanguineus (dog), Rhipicephalus turanicus (cat), Dermacentor reticulatus (dog)) and repellent (prevents blood-sucking) effect against ticks Ixodes ricinus (dog and cat), Rhipicephalus sanguineus (dog)) for 8 months. The product is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks.

The product provides indirect protection against transmission of Babesia canis vogeli and Ehrlichia canis from the tick species Rhipicephalus sanguineus. This reduces the risk of babesiosis and ehrlichiosis in dogs for 7 months.

Reduces the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum when transmitted via sandflies for up to 8 months in dogs.

For combating infestations of biting lice (Trichodectes canis) in dogs. For best results, the collar should be put on before tick or flea season begins.

Contraindications: Kittens under 10 weeks and puppies under 7 weeks must not be treated. Should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or one or more of the excipients.

Pregnancy and lactation: The safety of the medicine during pregnancy and lactation has not been established in the animals for which the preparation is intended. In the absence of data, it is not recommended to use the preparation for pregnant or lactating female cats or bitches.

Warnings and precautions: As with all long-acting topical products, seasonal shedding may lead to a transient, minor reduction in efficacy due to loss of active substance bound in the coat. New distribution from the collar occurs immediately so that full effect will be re-established without further treatment or changing of the collar. The collar is water resistant and works even if the animal gets wet. However, the animal should not be exposed to large amounts of water for a long time or frequent washing, as the effect time can thus be reduced. As with other veterinary medicinal products, young children should not play with the collar or put it in their mouths. Pets wearing the collar should not be allowed to sleep with their owners, especially children. Imidacloprid and flumethrin are continuously released from the collar to the skin and fur as long as the collar is worn. The collar may trigger hypersensitivity reactions in certain people. People with known hypersensitivity (allergy) to the substances in the collar should avoid contact with the collar. In very rare cases, the collar can cause irritation to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract of certain people. In case of eye irritation, rinse eyes thoroughly with cold water. In case of skin irritation, wash the skin with cold water and soap. If the symptoms persist, it is recommended to see a doctor and show the doctor the package insert or package. Discard any leftover or clipped parts of the collar immediately. Wash your hands with cold water after attaching the collar. Side effects: In animals that are not used to wearing collars, behavioral changes, such as hiding, vocalization, hyperactivity, excessive licking and/or grooming, and scratching around the collar, occasionally occur in the first few days after the collar is put on. In very rare cases, aggression has been reported after wearing the collar. Check that the collar is not too tight. Reactions such as pruritus, erythema and hair loss around the collar may occur. These cases are rare in dogs and uncommon in cats and recovery is usually seen within one to two weeks. In some cases, it may be advisable to temporarily remove the collar until the symptoms have disappeared. In very rare cases, reactions such as dermatitis, inflammation, eczema, skin lesions or bleeding around the collar can occur in dogs and in rare cases in cats. In these cases, it is recommended that the collar be removed. In rare cases, neurological symptoms such as ataxia, convulsions and tremors may occur in dogs. In these cases, it is recommended to remove the collar. In dogs and cats, initially, in rare cases, mild and transient reactions such as depression, changed eating patterns, drooling, vomiting and diarrhea can be seen. As with other products applied to the skin, contact dermatitis may occur in hypersensitive animals. Dose and method of administration: Cutaneous use. One necklace per animals, fasten around the neck. For dogs over 8 kg, a Seresto Vet collar of 70 cm is used. Seresto Vet is used for small dogs of up to 8 kg body weight and for cats. for cats and dogs ≤ 8 kg at 38 cm. For external use only. The collar must be worn continuously during the eight-month protection period and should be removed after the treatment period. Check regularly and adjust the size, especially in kittens/puppies that grow quickly. This collar is designed with a safety locking system. In the very rare cases where a cat or in the extremely rare cases where a dog is stuck, the animal can usually extend the collar with its own help and quickly get free.
